23rd July, 2016 we departed Adelaide on our fantastic 7 day Whales & West Coast SA Tour.

Our first stop  was in the town of Moonta which is one of the three ‘copper triangle’ towns on the Yorke Peninsula. Here we had a great guided tour of the Moonta Mines Museum to learn about the early mining history of this region. All of our passengers enjoyed our time there and found the exhibits and information extremely interesting.

Make sure you visit this Museum when you travel over to this region and also ensure that you stop across the road from the Museum, at the Moonta Mine Sweets Shop were they sell all of the yummy, old fashioned sweets - our passengers stocked up on these sweets for the trip!

A great photo stop at the beautiful beach at Pennington Bay.

Our lunch stop today at Andermel Marron which all of our passengers were very much looking forward to - always a winner! After lunch we enjoyed the tank tour to learn about where and how they ‘grow’ the marron for sale and use in the restaurant.

Sampling their Two Wheeler Creek delicious sauces and wonderful wines was a great way to complete a fantastic day.

Top Left - our last stop at Horseshoe Bay Lookout at Pt Elliot with views over the Southern Ocean and Victor Harbor.

Everyone just loves the lambs and colored sheep at Island Pure Sheep Dairy. Sampling the yummy yogurts and cheeses is always a treat, with many passengers taking home their own supplies. Greg at Bay of Shoals Winery always gives us a great talk about their wonderful variety of wines and is very generous with the sampling of their wines, much to the delight of our passengers who also took home bottles of wines to enjoy.

It was a bit windy for the wonderful birds at Raptor Domain Birds of Prey show, so the show was bought inside - a great interactive display that everyone just loved - the staff are so passionate and loving toward all of their beautiful birds.

Always a great lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro and then we drove onto Vivonne Bay where our passengers marveled at the wonderful rugged scenery and high waves crashing over the rocks.

Our last night at the Kangaroo Island Seaside Inn was a fantastic fun night - we line danced! Our very obliging Manager Alex, allowed us to rearrange the dining room and even supplied the music, so many of our passengers could learn a few steps of line dancing - great laughs and encouragement from the audience - we had lots of fun. One of my favorite spots on Kangaroo Island, the majestic canopy of trees on Jews Highway - Greg our wonderful Sealink driver took us there as a special treat. Our last day on the way back to Adelaide, we enjoyed the beautiful day and wonderful sights of Horseshoe Bay at Pt Elliot and Victor Harbor.
