Our last stop before arriving in beautiful Adelaide is the picturesque McLaren Vale, south of Adelaide. Passengers enjoyed sampling all of the delicious chocolate goodies at Medlows, the great array of nuts at the Almond Train and the wonderful wines at Hardy’s.
Red Poles McLaren Vale
We had pre ordered our lunch - a selection of grilled salmon, steak or gnocchi, so we were served very quickly once we arrived - drinks at passengers own expense. Everyone enjoyed the lovely lunch under the veranda at Red Poles. Wines tasting & gift shop were also available. Staff were very friendly and obliging.
Our lovely SeaLink driver John looked after us all and gave us a great commentary all the way.

Tasting took place in the Stable, lovely set up, tables and chairs, air con & a fantastic, informative presentation about their wines.

McLaren Vale Visitor Centre - Morning Tea Stop
Tania out the front of the visitor centre - we were pleased to see the Sealink banner on display. Passengers enjoyed a lovely array of cakes and coffee/tea under the vines, looking out at the picturesque vista. Foothill Wines offered passengers their first taste of Vales Wines and a great variety of information and gifts were on display.

We enjoyed a very informative and interesting presentation in the barrel room before walking to the tasting room where passengers were invited to sample a great selection of their wines.
