Day 4 - In the shed next to Andermel Marron Cafe is the marron breeding and holding tanks where we learned all about the marron’s life cycle and the operational aspects of a modern marron farm.

We also had time to sample their Two Wheeler Creek wines and Bush Tucker products - just to finish off a wonderful day.

Day 4 - About an hours drive from Flinders Chase National Park we arrived at our very special lunch destination, at the Andermel Marron Farm which is renowned as one of the largest best practice marron farms in Australia.

Our passengers enjoyed a wonderful variety of lunch selections.

From Admirals Arch we made a quick stop at Weirs Cove where we saw the restoration of the stone building where the lighthouse keepers would store all of their supplies.

See the view down to where the lighthouse keepers would use a horse drawn winch to bring up all of their supplies from the ships, up the steep cliff to the storage house - every 3 months (weather permitting).

Our delicious lunch at Andermel Marron Farm is always a winner and enjoyed by all of our passengers.

Our last stop on Day 3 was at Andermel Marron Farm & Two Wheeler Creek Winery where we all enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at the Marron Cafe.

After lunch we walked to the large shed next door to the Cafe to see the tanks ‘growing’ the marron and enjoyed an informative talk about the life of a marron.

Day 4 takes up off the island to the ferry back to Cape Jervis and a scenic drive to Victor Harbor for a wander and lunch.

We then took a short drive to Pt Elliott to see the beautiful views of Horseshoe Bay and spectacular views down the coast.

Our last stop for the day was at McLaren Vale to stock up on chocolates at Medlows, taste wines at Hardys Winery,  buy a wide range of almonds at the Almond Train or just sit and watch the passing parade.

Another great Kangaroo Island tour was enjoyed by all of my passengers that loved all of the wonders that Kangaroo Island has on offer. They said they are going home to ‘spread the word’ that Kangaroo Island has so much to see and do and you really need at least a week to take in the beauty and splendor of this wonderful unspoiled paradise.
