We are now in our third year of our Escorted Tours and I would like to say a very big Thank You to our very valued Escorted past passengers and to those passengers who have chosen to travel with us again on another tour. Some passengers have done one or more tours with me and I am very thrilled to say, that one very special passenger has done every one of my tours and is still looking for some new tours in the future to do with me – thank you, thank you so much. Your continued support keeps me going knowing that we do develop a lovely bond on tour and in many cases, a continued friendship, as many passengers keep in touch by email, phone or letters which I do love receiving. Some passengers have told me that perhaps they will not be able to travel again due to health problems but still love to receive all of the updates and information which is wonderful. Never say Never! My one piece of advice to everyone is – ‘if you have your health and the travel arrangements are within your budget, just do it – don’t put it off!’
We frequently get asked by potential travellers about taking various mobility aids on tour to assist them with walking. I always say that as long as you can get up and down the 4 steps on the coach and walk to the dining/lounge carriages on the train – our tours will suit you.
On tour you can walk as much or as little as you can manage. Light weight walkers can be accommodated for but cannot be used on the train (the corridors are too narrow) so if you do need assistance with walking on the train, you will need to bring your walking sticks as well. Your walker can be stored on the train in an area with easy access to when getting on or off the train along the journey.
Please contact me or your consultant if you have any further questions regarding assistance on tour.
