Christmas is over so very quickly, we are nearly at the end of January, February is only 28 days, so now is the time to make those holiday plans become a reality by securing your place on one (or more) of our exciting tours this year.
I know I keep reminding you but I cannot impress on you enough how important it is to make your decision to book on our tours, as soon as you possibly can.
I do only take 30 passengers on any one of my tours and I really do not want you to miss out going on your trip of a lifetime –so please book early.
As you can see by our great photos from our second SA Tour in November (now last year) we all had a fantastic time with lots of fun and laughter. We are always trying to look at ways to improve our tours and show you the best possible highlights of the areas we visit, so we added a few extra inclusions into this tour. As we make a stop at Martindale Hall in the picturesque Clare Valley, we included the entry fee inside to allow passengers time to really take in the grandeur of this magnificent mansion – they all loved it.
From the Clare Valley, we also included a drive north to the historic copper mining town of Burra where we stopped for lunch and had time to explore this lovely town.
Due to the popularity of Kangaroo Island, accommodation is sometimes difficult to book at peak times, especially in the main town of Kingscote. I am very pleased to announce that we have now managed to secure the Aurora Ozone Hotel in Kingscote, right on the Esplanade where our passengers really did enjoy the most magnificent views overlooking the bay.
All of our tours are specifically planned to travel in the best possible climate conditions for the region we are visiting. Our SA tours in April (Autumn) & November (Spring) is a wonderful time of the year (in paradise -well of course!!). Because our Spectacular and Winter Sun Escape tours visit several regions, we particularly wanted our passengers to enjoy the mild, non humid conditions in the ‘Dry’ winter months of those northern areas.
Our WA tour is naturally planned around the wildflower time which is all dependent on the weather and usually starts around the end of August thru to early November – so our tour in October is perfectly timed to see the best of the west.
Yes, our Spectacular Tour departing in June truly lives up to its name – Spectacular! Our past passengers have all raved about this fantastic tour - we depart from Sydney, first class on the XPT to vibrant Melbourne staying for 3 nights with a city tour included.
Our Melbourne passengers then join us to travel on The Overland in Red Premium Service, to ‘beautiful’ Adelaide for a 3 nights stay right in the heart of Adelaide, including a city tour.
Our Adelaide passengers then join us before we board The Legendary Ghan travelling in Gold Service overnight to Alice Springs. We stay in Alice overnight with a town tour included before travelling to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for 2 days and 1 night. We are there in time to visit magnificent Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), see the amazing sunset over Uluru and also enjoy a fantastic dinner under the stars.
Next morning we witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over Uluru, before we travel back to spend overnight in Alice. We then travel Gold Service overnight on The Ghan to Darwin with a short stop in Katherine before arriving in the tropical capital of NT, Darwin for 3 nights. We include a city tour and a fantastic full day at picturesque Litchfield National Park. From Darwin we fly to the exotic pearling town of Broome for 3 nights with a town tour ending up at Cable Beach to watch one of the best sunsets in the world.
From Broome we fly to the lovely city of Perth for 3 nights including a city tour & river cruise. We then board the mighty Indian Pacific for 3 wonderful nights in Gold Service, back to Sydney. Full breakfast daily with some lunches and many dinners included.
Please book early for this tour as it is always very popular and I will only take a maximum of 30 passengers on all tours.
I do hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and that you will all be looking forward to a great new year ahead. Thank you so much to everyone that sent me lovely Christmas cards, I was thrilled to hear from you and very much appreciated receiving them – my friends and visitors were very impressed with such an abundance of cards taking over my small living room – thank you, I do love to hear from you all - anytime.
Just for something different this year for my own holidays, a couple girlfriends and I spent a week in Hong Kong seeing in the New Year and….. of course lots of shopping – we all had a great time!
Thank you also to those passengers that email me with some of their wonderful photos from our tours. I really do enjoy receiving them and where possible, we do use them in some of our promotions, newsletters and flyers – so please keep them coming.
All of our fantastic tours for 2013 have been finalized and flyers with the itineraries have been forwarded to everyone that has requested one. In the past 2 years, we have produced a brochure of our Escorted Holidays but when we have added an additional tour, this has been difficult to incorporate. So this year we have decided to showcase our wonderful Escorted Holidays on individual flyers that are attached in a specifically designed folder (shown) -it looks great. So once one tour has departed we won’t need to send that information out and we can then add in more tours when required. I’m sure our passengers on the April 2012 SA Tour will be happy to see that their group photo, taken at Martindale Hall, has made the front cover of the folder for this year!
If you have any friends, relatives, work mates or your Club members, that are interested in travelling and would like to receive this newsletter and the new itineraries, please let me or our offices know.
Please recommend us to your travelling friends and relatives - as we all know, the best form of advertising is ‘word of mouth’, so I thank you in anticipation, of spreading the word!
Warm Regards, Shirley
