I am just about to depart on our second SA HIGHLIGHTS TOUR for 2012, on the 14th November which I’m thrilled to announce is full with 25 passengers! We could have taken more passengers on this tour but could not get any more berths on the Indian Pacific and the Murray Princess as they were both full.

I am often asked about passengers travelling by themselves, some with circumstances changing in their lives, some by choice and some, for their first time travelling alone. 

Some questions I am frequently asked is – can you match me up with someone to share with? Yes with some one of your own sex, of course, as we are not a dating agency! Yes, if mutually agreed, we would advise you both of each other’s contact details & leave the ‘matching’ up to you! 

What about the meal seating, will I be left on my own? Definitely not, I always make sure that I sit with anyone on their own or ensure they have someone in the group to sit with – you will be never left on your own, unless it’s your wish! 

What about the nights that don’t have an included dinner or on free days, will I be left on my own? I always advise my passengers that I will be available to go to dinner with them on free nights or if they don’t want to be alone on a free day. We often have couples and singles that would like company for dinner or don’t want to venture out on their own. I am always available to all of my passengers, to ensure that everyone is looked after throughout the tour.

Thank you for such a wonderful response that we received from our first Newsletter! I was thrilled to receive phone calls, emails and messages from past passengers that I had not heard from in a while and also from people that had attended my presentations over the past 2 years – it was so lovely to hear from everyone.   There has been a lot of interest in our tours for next year which is great, some of our past passengers who are keen to do another tour and some from people that have received the newsletter and shared it with friends who would like to travel. We have already received bookings for next year’s tours both from past passengers and from new travelers - which is fantastic, thank you. I am very excited and looking forward to catching up with my past passengers who will be travelling with me again and also looking forward to making new friendships with our first time travelers with me.
Please keep the correspondence coming, as I do really enjoy hearing from you all. I do already receive regular updates from some past passengers, so if you would like to drop me a line anytime, I would love to hear from you.

I mentioned in our last Newsletter that we have been ‘champing at the bit’ waiting to release our 2013 Escorted Holidays brochure but had been held up with the rescheduling of The Ghan, Indian Pacific & The Overland. Well at last, after months of deliberation we have received some information from GSR to enable us to plan our tours for next year only to be informed from GSR, that there could be other changes to come!  Our Sydney team have

been feverishly working to get our tours for 2013 organized and to have some flyers available and a brochure out soon-  so for those people who have been anxiously waiting for this tour information, please contact your AHC office in your state on 1300 799 342 to have these flyers sent out to you.  Can I also please, remind everyone to please book early to avoid disappointment.  Also, due to operational problems we are not able to run the Flinders & Lake Eyre tour next year however we do have a very exciting tour planned to replace this tour in July next year which I’m sure will appeal to many people – please see the details below.
